On vacation with your horse? And also learning something? No problem!
Hofstede Oostrijk has been a very versatile horse business for the past 24 years. We are not just a stud farm, pension stable, rehabilitation centre, maternity clinic and centre for natural health care for animals, but also a Holistic Academy for Man and Horse. We train very versatile instructors and give courses about anything and everything that has to do with horses. For instance: do you want to know more about the personality of your horse or how to keep him healthy? Do you want to learn how to work freely or how to work with the double lunge, learn to massage or to improve the balance in your seat?

If you will come with a few friends (a minimum of 6) then we can do a special program and you will get € 10,- discount on a 3-day course of your choice. No horse? No problem! We have training horses available, unfortunately not for beach tours.
A place to stay for man and horse
You want to enjoy the company of your horse? We have spacious boxes available for your horse with pastures for € 15,- per day. This includes bedding, 3x per day hay or Lucerne and self-composed grains. You have to take the manure out yourself. We do require your horse to be vaccinated and de-wormed. Let's take a walk?
Ten minutes walk with your horse and you are already in the nature reserve "de Delftse Hout" and the "Dobbenplas". This is a lovely area to get away for a few hours. On the way you can make a stop for an ice-cream or a drink at "du Midie".
Feel the wind in your hair on the beach? No problem from where we are!
With your trailer you can reach the beach or the dunes of Meyendal in less than half an hour for hours of riding or driving fun. A "hunting menu" with pancake farm Meyendel is a good tip. They have water available for your horse and even a place for the horses to rest.
Day trips
Is your horse good around traffic and used to long distances? Then you can also take a day trip to the beautiful "Mid Delfland" area. Narrow polder roads, nice views in between the willows and century old farms give this area its special charm.
A nice diner?
Delft is famous for its atmospheric terraces and cheap dining facilities, so let yourself get spoiled! The nightlife also offers everybody something!
